1 Day Workshop and Programme



Whether charged with offering security advice to your organisation, or if you are providing services to clients involving security controls to mitigate risk - it is important to know and understand what risks or potential risks there are, what vulnerabilities exist, and what security controls are the most effective to mitigate those risks.

This Introduction to Security RISQ™ Management is the perfect programme for all people new to the security industry, whether you are responsible for in-house advice or are in a sales or technical role but have limited experience in security risk.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this programme is to provide participants with the knowledge, confidence, and competence to offer security advice, and recommend solutions and products based on sound risk management principles. If you are without a recognised security risk qualification, then this programme is the first step towards improving your knowledge and skill in security risk management.





LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon the conclusion of this programme, participants will be able to:

  • Identify security risks in workplace scenarios
  • Identify actual and potential threats in workplace situations
  • Identify vulnerabilities in given scenarios
  • Identify security controls and describe their purpose
  • Identify key operating requirements across a range of security controls
  • Implement security controls in workplace scenarios to mitigate risks.

Once enrolment is confirmed, a link will be sent to you to access pre-course reading material. Please read the pre-course material prior to participating on the ONE DAY face to face workshop on your selected date. Workshops are available in Auckland (Manukau) on the specified dates below. Limited places are available so please select your preferred day and book early to confirm your seat.
