This workshop will provide confidence and competence to manage common retail security situations, both legally and safely.
It is an interactive program delivered using blended delivery methods, including open forum discussion, group activities, demonstrations and roleplay.
We identify best practice strategies to manage workplace scenarios including returning trespassers, theft events and aggressive customers.
The key outcomes for participants are:
- Knowledge of core legal requirements
- Best practice principles relating to theft, trespass, assault self-defence and robbery events
- Dealing with specific workplace scenarios such as returning trespassers, aggressive customers and customers under the influence
- A plan for first response procedures
- Situational awareness tactics
- Understanding of safe space and physical response options
